Acrylic tapes are available at a low cost and is the standard choice for packaging needs. Hotmelt has stronger adhesion that acrylic and is more tolerant. Solvent has the strongest adhesion and is ideal to be worked in extreme temperatures but is also expensive.

  1. Polypropylene Packing Tape

This is the most famous choice when it comes to packaging. It is usually available in clear, colored or brown color. These tapes are strong, durable and doesn’t break during the shipping process. It is usually the cheapest type of packaging and is ideal for no frills tape for your daily carton sealing and packaging needs.

  1. Vinyl packing tape

This has more tack and is stronger and thicker than polypropylene tape and can also withstand more tension. It also makes less noise when released from the roll with no need for a special variant. It is stronger and can also be torn by hand easily apart from being used with a standard tape dispenser. Vinyl tape is ideal for long term storage and tolerating extreme temperatures rendering it ideal for parcels that need freezing or just transported to colder places.
