Maritime safety training is one of the most important aspects in maintaining a safe and efficient workplace. It’s crucial that all crew members are trained properly to ensure your business doesn’t face any major penalties due to unsafe practices on board.
Why do we need maritime training?
It’s required that all crew members receive proper Maritime Safety Training to ensure they can handle any situation that may arise while at sea.
What is required for maritime training?
All crew members must be trained and pass a minimum of one test before being allowed onboard your vessel. This means that all employees need to know how to handle vessels, use life rafts (if applicable) and respond if an emergency such as fire or flooding ever occurred onboard your vessel.
There should always be at least two people working together so help can arrive quickly when something does go wrong! What’s more: it’s also important that all crew members receive refresher courses every year which will keep them up-to-date with any new procedures or requirements changes put in place by government agencies within their jurisdiction.
What types of maritimetraining are available?
There is a number of different courses depending on the size and type of vessel you operate, however, there will always be one or more required for all crew members to complete before operating any water vessels.
